Christmas 2010

We had a wonderous Christmas. Despite the kids yearning to repeat last Christmas's trip to Disney World, we had a very peaceful and special time. We welcomed a new family member, Mittens, on the 23rd. She has quickly made herself at home and can be found in the lap of someone nearly 24/7.

Chris and the kids have been taking advantage of this break to get in some downhill skiing, I, on the other hand, prefer x-country.

It seems as if each Christmas has a theme relative to the gifts the kids receive - this is was no different. Music was the strong theme this time. Christian got his long awaited electric guitar and they all received a keyboard to add to their basement band and Band Hero for the Wii. Here are a few of the photo highlights.

Christians 1st Chorus Concert at Lincoln

 


The 4th and 5th graders in Chorus performed a concert last Thursday. Christian was very excited to show all their hard work.

Fall Time

We enjoyed a Sunday walk at Bemidji State Park.

Show Choir Camp '10

Christian participated in Chris's Summer Show Choir Camp for the first time. He had a wonderful week. It was so fun to see him up there. (Click on the black screen to watch)

We celebrated Abbie's 5th Birthday with all things Princess!

Abbie had five friends over for her party: Jessa from ECFE, Chloe & Brynn from St. Philips, and Ethan and Tryllen. They played bobbing for Snow white's poison apples, guess the number of petals on the Beast's rose, and hunted for Cinderella's missing glass slipper. The girls dressed up in their favorite princess dresses while the boys chose to remain in their own duds. They are enjoyed PB&J, turkey, and ham sandwiches

Birthday Boys!

Celebrations don't end at our house after the holidays since the boys' birthdays are on Jan. 5th (Christian) and Feb. 7th (Conner). Both had big parties with lots of friends.







Christian's party was held at the BSU Rec Center. They swam and played football and enjoyed a lunch of tacos. Christian was excited to receive two footballs and lots of gift cards.









Conner began the Olympic celebration alittle early with a Olympic theme party at home. The 13 kids were divided into 4 teams and competed in 4 events. Wii Ski, foosball, basketball, and air hockey. Medals were awarded. So much fun was had very few took time to eat the cake.

It's hard to believe I have a 7 and a 9 year old> The years have whizzed by.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOYS! I am so blessed to have two incredible young men to call my sons. Hope this year brings many happy memories.

Chris and I were treated to a very entertaining Christmas program at Abbie's Preschool today. The props were great! Abbie has been so excited for this performance. We were so proud. I was crying before it even started :)
